An excellent position has recently opened for an Assistant Nurse Manager in this busy Surgical Services Department on Maui, Hawaii. Lead this team of dedicated and experienced professionals in a position that allows for a great growth opportunity.Reporting to the Perioperative Services Nursing Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager will lead a knowledgeable staff of Perioperative -CNORs, -PACU -RNs, Scrub and Circulating Nurses, and Support Staff in a 10 OR department that sees around 1,000 procedures per month. The Surgical Services Unit in this medical center has an outstanding reputation for superior patient outcomes, and for offering a wide array of procedures, including Head and Spine, Total Joint, and Open-Heart.As the Surgical Services Assistant Nurse Manager, you will have many chances to exercise both administrative and clinical muscles in -the pursuit of Operating Room excellence. You will spearhead, develop, and support performance enhancing initiatives, coaching methods, and growth opportunities that elevate your staff. You will work directly with physicians, surgeons, and other providers, building relationships that will grow efficiencies and breed collaboration.In addition to the Nursing Manager, this person will also work closely with the Perioperative Services Nurse Director, the Surgical / Procedural Services Business Manager, as well as Professional Development experts to address quality improvement, risk management, and service line development, ushering in the next wave great satisfaction scores. The Assistant -Manager will play an integral role in maintaining -Operating Room (OR) efficiency with regards to scheduling, staffing, and operations administration. - -This community medical center is actively interviewing Registered Nurses for its full-time, permanent Surgical Services Assistant Manager role.
