Responsibilities Molokai General Hospital is looking for a Call-In Mammography Technologist.Molokai General Hospital (MGH) is a 15-bed rural health care facility with a Critical Access Hospital designation. - It provides the only emergency room for the residents and visitors on the island of Molokai. - MGH became a part of The Queen's Health Systems in 1987 and provides acute care, inpatient hospice, skilled nursing, and low-risk obstetrical services. - It also offers primary care in a rural health clinic, chemotherapy, limited specialty procedures, diabetes management, family planning, physical therapy (including aquatic therapy), veteran's services and chronic disease navigation services. -Are you looking for an enriched cultural experience? - Working at Molokai General Hospital means having the opportunity to provide quality health care and improve the well-being of the entire Molokai community. - Come and discover the resources, support, and opportunity you need to build the career you've always wanted. -Molokai is the fifth largest island in the Hawaiian chain. - It is unspoiled, reminiscent of old Hawaii, abundant with natural beauty, and boasts the longest white sand beach in Hawaii. -I. - - - - - - - - - - - - JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for performing mammographic procedures in accordance with procedures and protocols of quality control standards, as established by the department and Molokai General Hospital. -II. - - - - - - - - - - - TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS -Essential: Seeing, hearing, speaking, standing, walking, finger dexterity, lifting weight up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling weight up to 250 pounds, carrying weight up to 50 pounds.Continuous: - Seeing, hearing, speaking, stooping/bending, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object, pushing/pulling weight up to 250 pounds, carrying up to 50 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods of time. - - - - - - - - - - - -III. - - - - - - - - - TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONSBoth inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme heat and cold (temperature and duration), noise and/or vibration, hazardous physical conditions, and atmospheric conditions which affect the respiratory system or skin. - Other and/or specific physical demands, machines, tools, equipment, working conditions, etc., required in area of assignment. -IV. - - - - - - - - - MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSA. - - - - - - - - - - - EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE: --- - Certification in Mammography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). - - --- - Hawaii State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist. - --- - Current BLS/HCP certification. - - - - - - - - - B. - - - - - - - - - - - EXPERIENCE: --- - One (1) year experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care facility. --- - One (1) year experience as a Mammography Technologist.
