Kamehameha IV to provide in perpetuity quality health care services
to improve the well-being of Native Hawaiians and all the people of
Hawaii. Scope of Service We provide intermittent quality care for
homebound patients, of all ages, by offering a network of services
to meet the emotional and physical needs of both patients and
families. We provide Skilled Nursing, Physical Therapy,
Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, as well as Certified Home
Health Aide care, and Medical Social Worker services. Our service
area includes Hilo, Hamakua, North and South Kohala, North Kona,
Keaau and Volcano. Responsibilities I. JOB
SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:--- Under the supervision of assigned
supervisor/manager, provides high quality patient care, for ages
infant-geriatrics including documentation in accordance with
hospital policies/protocols and standards of care.--- Based upon
area of assignment, performs a variety of duties/responsibilities
as noted below. II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: All required,
designated by frequency.--- Essential: lifting up to 2 pounds,
seeing, hearing, speaking, grasping, fingering.--- Continuous:
standing, walking, stooping, forward reaching, handling.---
Frequent: lifting up to 10 pounds.--- Occasional: pushing/pulling
maximum 50 pounds, lifting and carrying up to maximum 50 pounds,
kneeling, crouching.--- Depending upon area of assignment: operates
desk/lap top computer and/or tablet, multi-line telephone and work
cell phone, copier and fax machine, bedside monitors, VS monitors,
SCD devices, CPM, code carts (peds/adults ), trapeze, traction,
lift, restraints, transfer mat, beds, pediatric emergency tape, and
other medical and office equipment/devices.III. TYPICAL WORKING
CONDITIONS:--- Exposed to infection and disease-bearing specimens;
infectious and contagious diseases; hazards of handling diseased
organs and tissues; odorous chemicals and specimens; housekeeping
cleaning agents/chemicals; explosive chemicals, gases and low level
radiation.--- Subjected to varying and unpredictable situations.---
Subjected to many interruptions and long irregular hours.---
Required Personal Protection Equipment: Eye protection, gown, mask,
mask with face shield, non-sterile/sterile medical gloves, CAPR.IV.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:---
High School diploma or equivalent.--- Certified Nurse Assistant or
Certified Medical Assistant or EMT; oro Nursing student having
completed a semester of clinical fundamentals; oro Registered Nurse
with a foreign Registered Nurse license with at least one (1) year
acute care experience.--- Nursing Assistant certification may be
preferred depending on area of assignment.--- Current BLS/HCP
certification.B. EXPERIENCE:--- One (1) year experience as a Nurse
Aide in an acute care or long-term care setting, preferred. Equal
