Job DescriptionWhat will I be doing?

Manager Food & Beverages ensures the expectations of our owners and guests, as well as the HGVC standards are met and exceeded. Works closely with the departmental Supervisor or Leads in regards to staff/guests interaction, training, supervision, food & beverage retail delivery and presentation, to ensure the highest level of productivity and efficiency are achieved. To assist in forecasting F&B staffing to meet the needs of guest demands.

  • Coaching and counseling team members per company policies
    
  • Assists management with ensuring that all departmental activities are performed within the guidelines of appropriate policies and procedures and that all food and beverage co-workers are trained in the area of food quality, sanitation, safety, departmental/resort policies and procedure and guest/owner service standards.
    
  • Responsible to achieve or exceed the gross and net income for retail outlets and per occupied suite goal based on SALT scores for the department.
    
  • Support the GM with bi-monthly forecasts and year-end financial reports of revenues, control of payroll and preparation of the yearly budget.
    
  • Participates in all F&B operations daily to assist with work load and respond to guest/owner inquiries regarding F&B, retail and resort services and determines the resolution of problems arising from guest/owner concerns, inventory, supply issues, staffing issues and other unusual requests and inquiries.
    
  • Assist the GM to complete any capital projects in a timely manner within budget, and make recommendations for following year requirements for retail.
    
  • Maintains effective communication and coordination of F&B activities with other departments to ensure all standards are met in the areas of productivity. Ensures at the end of each shift that all F&B associates have completed daily checklists and shift closing are accurate.
    
  • Develops menus and food & beverage marketing strategies: implement new seasonal menus and marketing strategies to drive revenues.
    
  • Uses computer to analyze forecast, cost and revenue reports to make decisions based on that information to ensure profit maximization.
    
  • Follow all health & QA standards.
    
  • Keep abreast of marketing techniques, promotions and new trends in restaurant and bar operations.
    
  • Coordinates with Front Desk to forecast inventory needs based on occupancy.
    
  • Schedules team members in alignment with business levels.
    
  • Other related duties as assigned.

    QualificationsWhat are we looking for?

    • High school graduate or equivalent
      
    • 2+years of direct F&B and management experience
      
    • possess TAM, Health Card and First Aid/CPR
      
    • possess Tuberculosis clearance
      
      
      It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

      • A/BS/Bachelor's Degree
        
      • Hotel industry experience
