Job Title: Fatherhood Assessment Coordinator
Job Summary: Sanford Federal, Inc. is looking for a successful and
detail-oriented individual to join our team as 'Fatherhood
Assessment Coordinator'. The candidate should have all the relevant
education and experiences to perform the duties in such an
effective and efficient manner, and his/her responsibilities
include the duties mentioned in this Job Description. Ultimately, a
top-notch Coordinator should have excellent organizational,
communication skills, and great computer skills.
Requirements: The Candidate must meet the following
requirements:
Demonstrate a minimum of two (2) years' experience convening
diverse community groups.
Demonstrate a minimum of two (2) years' experience facilitating and
managing focus groups and workgroups.
Demonstrate a minimum of two (2) years working with families,
fathers, and /or men supporting healthy relationships.
Be familiar with public and private organizations and programs
engaged in child abuse and neglect prevention, parenting and family
programs, and fatherhood activities in Maui County.
Have a minimum of two (2) years' experience hosting virtual
meetings and events.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Provide two (2) letters of support from public and/or private
programs that support your expertise in coalition building and
facilitation; and
Have knowledge and familiarity working within the context of DOH
policies, rules, and regulations related to procurement processes
(i.e., purchase orders) and meeting/conference activities.
Duties: The Candidate will undertake the following duties and
responsibilities, including but not limited to:
The Candidate shall be responsible for the following tasks and
responsibilities:
Plan, implement and facilitate a minimum of four (4) virtual and/or
in-person workgroup meetings adhering to state and county COVID-19
guidelines and restrictions.
Identify, recruit and secure a minimum number of workgroup
participants to participate in time-limited workgroup activities
addressing the importance of fathers in the healthy development of
children ensuring representation from all Maui County islands.
Workgroup participants must include diverse public and private
organizations and agencies including but not limited to
faith-based, educational institutions, social service agencies, the
business community, and others;
Plan, conduct and facilitate a minimum of three (3) virtual and/ or
in-person focus group sessions with fathers ensuring representation
from all Maui County islands adhering to state and county COVID-19
guidelines and restrictions.
Identify, recruit and secure a minimum number of fathers to
participate in a "Dads Voices" focus group discussion on supporting
fathers' involvement in the life of children.
Focus group participants must include a minimum of three (3)
special population fathers (see Attachment 1);
Work with Fatherhood Evaluator and the DOH FSVPU in the planning of
the focus group and workgroup format, minimum number of workgroup
and focus group participants, processes, the development of the
focus group and workgroup questions, the data capture, and report
products;
Provide refreshments workgroup and focus group meetings;
Provide each focus group participant a gift card with a minimum
value of $35.00 that can be used on their island;
Procure as needed services and expertise to support the tasks and
responsibilities;
Invoice DOH MCHB for payment of services; and
Submit a Final Project Report no later than forty-five days (45)
days from the end of the project period, September 30, 2022, which
shall include at a
minimum:
List of workgroup participants including name, work title,
organization name, and contact information,
List of focus groups members (first name only), self-report
race/ethnicity, the number who are married, divorced, single
parent, parent of a child with a disability, currently involved in
a father activity/program, and interested in getting involved in a
father-focused activity.
All workgroup and focus group agendas, meeting notes, handouts, and
recruitment flyers.
Description of workgroup and focus group recruitment efforts
including challenges and successes.
