Archaeological Field Technician - Maui, Hawai--i
ASM Affiliates (ASM) has an immediate opening for a full-time Assistant Archaeologist in our Maui office. ASM is a 100% employee-owned consulting firm, specializing in archaeology, history, architectural history and cultural resource management (CRM) with offices throughout the western U.S. and Hawai--i. The successful candidate will be an integral member of our dedicated team of professionals and work in a collegial and positive environment at an employee-owned company.

The hourly rate for this position will be commensurate with the applicant's credentials, experience, and industry standards.
Projects
Our current projects include construction monitoring with future opportunities to participate in archaeological survey, data recovery projects, and laboratory analysis under the direction of senior staff. Work duties will be performed outdoors and may occasionally be in remote backcountry environments. Duties may require hiking over long distances, standing for long durations, and the lifting and transport of loads up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications
- Maui resident.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Archaeology/Anthropology.
- Field school from an accredited institution or prior professional experience in Hawai--i.
- At least 1+ years of archaeological fieldwork experience or equivalent.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Be willing to work in and adapt to a variety of environments and challenging field conditions.
- Clean driving record and Hawai--i driver's license required.
*Previous experience in Hawai--i and/or the Pacific Islands is strongly preferred.
